Therapy works best when you feel safe, understood, and comfortable with your therapist. I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation where we can briefly discuss what you’re experiencing, answer any questions you have, and see if my clinical style and approach resonate with you. There is no pressure; this call is simply a chance for us to connect.

Our initial intake session is all about getting to know you at your own pace. We will review your intake paperwork, explore your background and current challenges, and clarify what you hope to gain from therapy. You don’t need to have everything figured out before we meet; we will set gentle goals together.

To build momentum, trust, and real progress, I typically recommend starting with weekly 50-minute sessions. As you gain confidence, feel more grounded, and reach your therapeutic goals, we can transition to bi-weekly or monthly maintenance sessions.

Yes, absolutely! As a perinatal therapist, I know that child care isn't always accessible or feasible. Feeding, holding, soothing, or having your baby nearby during our virtual sessions is completely welcome as long as it remains clinically appropriate. You never have to apologize for taking care of your child while taking care of your mental health.

Because of licensing laws placed my the Board of Behavioral Sciences, you must be physically located within the state of California at the time of our session. You will also need a stable internet connection, a device with a camera/microphone, and a safe, private space where you feel comfortable speaking freely.

Yes! As a Latina therapist, I offer therapy in English, Spanish, or Spanglish. You are free to express your thoughts and emotions in whatever language feels most natural without worrying about translating your experience.

While my specialized certification (PMH-C) is in Perinatal Mental Health, my broader clinical background in community mental health and outpatient settings includes working with individuals from all walks of life. I also support clients navigating general anxiety, life transitions, identity shifts and challenges outside of pregnancy and motherhood.

I am an out-of-network (private pay) provider and do not bill insurance companies directly. This allows us to design a treatment plan tailored entirely to your needs rather than insurance restrictions.
While my solo private practice is primarily private pay, I am able to accept select health insurance plans through a group platform partnership.

I hold your session time specifically for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule, I require at least 24 hours' advance notice. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice (or missed appointments) will be charged the full session fee.

As a solo private practice therapist, I am unable to provide crisis care after work hours. I do not answer messages, emails, or calls on weekends and evenings. My business hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
If an emergency arises after hours or on the weekends, I encourage my clients to rely on the following resources, which are available 24/7:
Medical or Psychiatric Emergency: Call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.
Suicide & Crisis Lifeline: Call or text 988 to connect with a trained counselor.
Crisis Text Line: Text HOME to 741741 to connect with a crisis counselor via text.
Higher Level of Care: If we evaluate during our ongoing work together that your mental health needs require more intensive support than weekly therapy can safely provide, I will collaboratively work with you to provide trusted referrals to ensure you get the appropriate level of care.
